Love Life: West End Unites Against Cancer

On Sunday 1st February 2026, the West End theatre community came together for Love Life: West End Unites Against Cancer, a major one-night-only concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in support of One For The Boys. 

Officially supported by the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), this special night took place just ahead of World Cancer Day on 4 February, and united performers, creatives, musicians and supporters for an evening of music, solidarity and storytelling.  

Love Life: West End Unites Against Cancer

The Love Life: West End Unites Against Cancer concert was led by musical director Alan Williams (Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Funny Girl, Crazy For You) and directed by Rupert Hands (Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Roam), bringing together a world-class creative team for the event. The creative team also included lighting design by Peter Small, sound design by Sound Quiet Time (Rob Bettle and Sam Clarkson), and production management by Jack Boissieux. 

The concert featured never-seen-before performances and exclusive collaborations from West End theatre royalty, including Olivier and Tony Award Winner, Nicole Scherzinger, Tony Award Winner, Alex Newell (Shucked!, Chicago) Olivier Award Winners; Giles Terera MBE (Passing Strange, Hamilton), Tom Francis (Sunset Boulevard, &Juliet), David Thaxton (Roam, Sunset Boulevard). 

Performing after their sell-out summer in Evita are Diego Andrés Rodriguez (Roam, Evita, Sunset Boulevard), Bella Brown (Into The Woods, Evita) and James Olivas (Evita, American Idiot). 

They were joined by West End stars Ramin Karimloo (Roam, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Jordan Luke Gage (Titanique,  Bonnie & Clyde, &Juliet), Lucie Jones (Wicked, 13 Going on 30), Ben Joyce (Shucked, Back to the Future, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Melanie La Barrie (Hadestown,  &Julie), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Heathers, Les Miserables), and Joel Montague (Hamilton, Great Gatsby). 

The star-studded cast was joined onstage by a live orchestra as they performed a variety of exclusive collaborations and performances.

The night helped raise vital funds and awareness for early detection, for open and honest conversations around health, and for the mental and emotional support needed by those living with or affected by cancer.
